Congratulations to David Wilson of St. Louis, MO, winner of the brand new Takamine acoustic guitar signed by me! Everyone who pre-ordered "Alive" was placed into the running, so congrats David!
Greetings all! I just received my batch of CDs and I have to say, it feels pretty good! There is something about opening that little booklet and reading the lyrics and credits that makes it all come together...super cool :-) I can't wait for you all to get it.
I'm doing tons of interviews and preparing for a trip to europe in a few days for even more promotional activities...including some fun acoustic performances. Thanks to everyone for being such a huge part of the inspiration behind this project. Here we go!
God Bless and see you on tour!

Here are the lyrics to "Grace" for all of you who wanna sing along while you listen to it here at edkowalczyk.com or on my facebook page ;-)
spend a little time standin’ on the front lines
and you really can’t talk at all
your mind begins to wonder
is there any love at all?
the photographs you took
yeah there was somethin’ in their eyes
every saint used to be a sinner
every man used to be a child
you said it was all in inside my mind
you were wrong
there was grace
you saw the enemy
I saw your face
people like you and I
spinnin’ through space
you were wrong
I still have faith
everytime I feel the sunshine
I thank the Lord up above
for seein’ somethin’ I
couldn’t see at all
comin’ down hard
the feelin’s all gone
where are we gonna hide?
my wings are feelin’ clipped now
and all I wanna do is fly
somethin’s gotta give
get up, stand up, see through it
gotta get this message to you
you said life don’t mean a thing
that there’s no reason left to dream
and welcome to my little home on the world wide interwebs ;-)... i've been a little out of pocket lately, very busy with finishing the album. Don't even mention "mandatory blog friday"...i have a lot of fridays to make up lol.
The man in the picture connected to the blog is none other than the legendary mastering engineer, Ted Jensen. And as he's done on many, many great albums including all the LIVE records, he brought my project in for a beautiful landing at his gorgeous facility in chelsea, NYC. Nothing like views of the statue of liberty while listening to my first solo album on a quarter million dollar stereo system ;-) yeah, and the pizza and cannoli rounded it all out to get about as close to heaven as you can this side of the pearly gates.
I am very close to announcing the partnerships I have entered into that will be bringing this collection of 12 tunes to you worldwide. Exciting times indeed!
all the best to you all and God Bless,
WOW! as you can see from my latest tweets, the reaction to the new band was off the charts in the DR! we had a fantastic trip and muchas gracias to all of the wonderful fans that were at the show for making our first one so special and SOLD OUT! we played 6 new songs from my upcoming album as well as most of the classics for a total of 19 songs. The energy onstage was phenomenal and its hard to put into words how exciting and refreshing it was to be playing brand new songs again with such incredible people and musicians. With only one day of rehearsal under our belt, it felt like we had been playing together for years; the chemistry is electrifying. 2010 is gonna rock ya!
Just added some more european dates to our mini tour in May and things are coming together for a much more expanded european tour in august-september. US dates around the record release in early july are forthcoming. Australia, South Africa, and more Latin America touring too...stay tuned!
I'm so excited for nexth month! Not only will there be a run of the awesome acoustic Open Wings Broken Strings tour, but my first performance ever in the Dominican Republic will now be the debut of my new FULL BAND! (see previous blog entry for more details)

Hey everybody and welcome to eddieklive.com!
I'm really excited to announce that I will be performing in the Dominican Republic for the first time ever next month. The show promises to be really special and full of surprises. I will be joined onstage by some amazing Dominican musicians as well as Ramy Antoun. Ramy played drums on my upcoming solo album and will be onstage with me in the DR on percussion as well as playing in my full band in the months to come. I smell another Bootleg Volume, how about you? ;-)
Working on some more exciting announcements regarding touring and my album/single release, so stay tuned!
Thanks again for hanging out! Lots of love
